I recently used Compass Van Lines for my local move and I was very impressed! They guys did a great job of packing and wrapping everything, even better than I would have myself. Everything arrived in great condition and there was no damage! Thanks GUYS!

Where to start. Picked up late.quote was $700 more then what it was suppose to be.. Storage was twice as much as estimate and held my stuff hostage. Then once delivered the *estimated* date was july 20th. Nope didnt receive till august 6th and upon delivery i dont know what was'nt damaged. Everything was minus clothes. Claims doesnt respond. Absolutely piss poor performance. Im in military and trying to get them blacklisted and contacting bbb and if i dont here a response in a week im taking them to court. I wish i could post pictures on here of the boxes coming off the truck let alone the surprise i got when i opened them. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!

Do not do business with Compass Van Lines as they are a fraud and spamming Company.. I am the Website designer and optimizer of that company and work from last 8 month and i did not get any payment from this Company .. I am trying email him and calling also but no one is talking interest. Also the moving process is very worst and very poor.

They are the bloody spammer and post all the fake reviews in various website to promote the service.. Please do not do business with Compass Van Lines

Nothing was as described in their sales pitch in the end. I would never use or recommend their services to anyone that cares about their belongings or sanity.

Oh Lord!

You are better off renting a uhaul and some cheap mexican workers and doing it yourself.

First they quote you one thing and then hold your stuff &quot;hostage&quot; when they want more money. All the while stating they have a A- rating with the Better Business Bureau. Like that makes a difference.

When I asked for our stuff on a certain day they delivered it a week later. The wifey and I had to sleep on air mattresses for a whole week.

Won't be going camping for a long time after that.

Don't use these guys and if you do make sure to file a complaint against them with the BBB to get their rating dropped to what it should be C-.

My delivery was supposed to arrive June 3 and it is now June 8. Turns out, my stuff has not left Austin, TX and I am halfway across the country. No warm clothes, blankets, sheets, pet supplies. They noted the error as a 'misunderstanding' and now am telling me it can be up to 21 days until I receive my belongings! Don't use them! Horrible customer service as well! I have spent over 1k on necessities until my delivery arrives.

Compass Van Lines moved our family from Miami Florida to Austin Texas. We have used services before when we moved from China because of my husbands work and we will continue to use Compass Van Lines for all our moves in the future. They are a very honorable and trusted company. They helped us in every way possible to cut moving costs and gave us tips on how to save. They also explained everything to us so we could clearly know what was going on. They gave us documentation, and told us about moving insurance. They made moving easy for us. Thank you Compass Van Lines.

Everytime I pick a darned moveing company they mess up my crap and everytime I wish I could use my legs still so I stick one of them in a corn hole of the uneducated, unprofessional, and should be unemployeed mover handling my goods... However to my suprise, Compass Vanlines has stood out from the crowd... the only thing that broke was the two gentleman who broke a sweat working hard like a good worker should. I imagine the guy who runs this place appreciates our free enterprise system and works hard for what he has built. Thanks Compass! - Harry

I move often so I have been around the block if you know what I mean... when it comes to moving companies I mean... Compass Vanlines did the best job so far when it comes to overall preformance. The price is a little high but is worth it if you want to know what you are paying up front. They are employeed with honest and hardworking people. I guess it comes down to the saying, &quot;you get what you pay for&quot;

Compass Vanlines is too legit to quit... I have moved with professional moving companies only a few times, but wow! Compass Vanlines blew the others out of the water. They're def not the cheapest but I would put money on it that you will not find a better service. From the first phone call I received to the follow up phone call after the move I was pleased the entire way. Great customer service, 1st class opperation here! Thanks

Compass Van Lines in Austin, TX

Totally dishonest - 2010-09-16
The sales person at this company will tell you anything you want to hear. After giving exact dimensions of everything that was going on the truck because they charge per cubic feet, I was charged $1040 more than what was on the contract. They were 4 hours late to my house as well. When I asked how long do I have to wait for my belongings once I had an address, I was told up to 72 hours. When I got my address, they said contractually, they have 21 days!! It is one lie after another. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They have a grade A on BBB only because they respond to their complaints. Not RESOLVE, but RESPOND. It is a real shame you can't trust people in business these days!!

We hired this company to move our household items from Florida to NYS. Here is a list of things you should be aware of when/if deciding to do business with this company: Sales Experience:Sales person was very nice, makes the sale with low estimate and great promises.Then, after all items are on the truck, you get hit with a very large variance between the estimate vs actual cost and your hands are tied. And when upon delivery you have a dispute you are met with anger and bad customer service from both sales and management.Packing Day Personnel: Did not send enough people to pack up a full house of items. Estimated 4 - 5 hours to pack the truck and they took 12 hours using one untrained temp, one trained temp and one employee. Though slow, they worked hard however we did not keep a close eye on the inventory sheet and many items that were packed onto the truck did not make it to our destination including a few valuable items so advise you to NOT move anything valuable. These guys actually tossed a few of our last items into our side yard before leaving without our knowledge.Transport of Goods: The truck that was packed in our driveway was not the truck that arrived at our destination. We had a variance between pick up and delivery dates and thus we have to assume our items were taken out of the truck and into storage then moved onto a different truck using another moving company to handle the transport as many items were wet, many items were &quot;lost&quot; and many items damaged. Delivery / Unpacking Personnel: The driver and personnel that arrived were from a different company and were very nice and on the ball. We were told the unpacking included assembly of beds. It did not. We paid extra for special packing and handling including re-assembly of our baby grand piano and when we called the company they flatly refused to handle. The guys were kind enough to get it into our house and left the moving blankets on it. We paid a local piano professional to come to our house a few days later and when they unwrapped the moving blankets we found the surface of the piano was damaged due to poor placement and packing on the truck.Claims / Complaints:When calling the company to ask about our lost and damaged items the call was handled nicely with instructions to file a complaint online with Anthem Claims. After filing the claim we received a notice from the claim company that no compensation for damages would be made as damages were not noted on the inventory report so make sure you do as much as you can on the day of delivery. Since we didn't unpack many of our boxes until much later we were not aware of the extent of damages nor the extent of &quot;lost&quot; items at the time of delivery thus they weren't noted on the transport sheets. There is a 9 month complaint window for this very reason. Additionally, no mention from Anthem was made as to our lost items or the piano damages.I would not recommend anyone do business with this company. Pay the extra money and give your business to a higher estimate company and do your homework and ask more questions to improve communication. If you do use Compass Van Lines, hire someone to work on your behalf on the day of pick up and delivery to ensure all items that make it onto the truck are on the inventory sheet in detail, that you are watching how things are being handled and do the same on the other end. We were unable to do this and it cost us dearly.

Compass Van Lines is such a horrible moving company that it motivated me to start my own website about my bad experience and other peoples bad experiences with this company. Compass Van Lines - Ruined My Couch is the name of the website, and I recommend that you check it out if you are considering using them as your moving company. I am an Iraq War Veteren and fought for this companies rights to treat me and my personal furniture with disrespect.
