I've moved 3 times since I retired only a few years ago, only the last time that was done with Eco vanlines did I get an accurate price and timely delivery. Paul had immense patience helping me prepare, despite being a smallish move, they were at my place on time and delivery was within the estimated range. If I had to complain it would be why didn't I use them before.

Despite putting everything in writing, asking a series of diligent questions to confirm pricing, and receiving a binding estimate- they STILL tried to pull a bait and switch on pricing- trying to charge me additional funds. The movers were late to pick up my items. The customer service was abysmal. When i tried contacting them to learn why the movers were late and i hadn't been notified, the dispatch office answered with a company of a different name. The moving truck showed up with another name of the company. I ultimately canceled my entire order with them.

NOTHING BUT FALSE ADVERTISING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Customer service to provide an estimate was very attentive. Sonya called several times to follow up and see if I wanted their service. Once I paid a deposit, Sonya was NEVER available again even though the binding estimate stated that she would be with us through the entire move. The furniture was picked up quickly with the driver giving an estimated delivery of 3-7 days. That was just a convenient means to hold my furniture in a warehouse for over 20 days. Once the furniture was loaded, I was informed of an INCREASE in price of over $800.00. I was also told that I owed them for the packing tape they used to tape padding on the furniture. The website states that they are eco-friendly. The tape was not a special eco brand and the drivers threw the empty rolls in my yard while smoking. The truck was not an eco friendly van as advertised. It was a Budget truck. The following THREE weeks were filled with lies and deceit.

Please do not listen to the people who gave all 5s. They obviously work for the company. This firm made multiple promises that they can't keep. My delivery was supposed to take 8 days but it has been 19 days now and I still have not received my stuff. The driver does not pick up the phone. The customer representative just ignore all calls.



DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE.

Like many of the reviewers on this site, I found this company on the Internet. I was drawn to them because of the "Eco" in their name as I am conscience of being socially responsible whenever possible. There was nothing particularly sustainable about their practices or their service. Regarding the actual move, they didn't do anything they said they were going to do. I didn't not get the 24 hour in advance call that I was supposed to get to confirm the pick-up time. The driver just showed up at my door. The movers came into my home and began assessing the scope of the move and wrapping furniture. The next thing I know, one of the movers is in my upstairs bathroom defecating! As they left, the driver/foreman and I agreed that he would deliver my items at 2:00pm on the following Friday and that I would get a confirmation call 24 hours before delivery

Of course I didn't get the confirmation call so I gave the driver a call at 11:00am on Friday. I was at that time informed that they would not be arriving at 2:00pm as promised, but closer to 5:00 or 6:00pm. When I called my salesperson Matt to find out why my delivery was being delayed, he was unavailable and the receptionist was rude and disinterested in my problem. I did receive a call from the dispatcher Iran (sp?) who only made excuses and was also rude. My items were not delivered until 9:00pm on Friday night. They were dirty, crushed, broken and one box was missing.
I was told that the delay was because they had to wait for another customer who didn't have the money when they arrived. NOT MY PROBLEM! The excuse for the missing box was that my items were removed from the truck and perhaps it didn't get reloaded with the other items. Really?! I have tried repeatedly to reach my salesperson Matt but have not received a return phone call. I still do not have the missing box and have no idea whether I will ever see it again. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE USE THIS COMPANY. They are unreliable, dishonest, bad business people and they provide terrible customer service.

The price charged was about 3x more than the original quote, even though I had included all of the items that needed to be moved (1st quote was $1100, total charged was $2950). Delivery was weeks after I was told it would arrive. Company lied every time I was on the phone with them, saying my things would be leaving the pickup state in the next 1-2 days, but those days would repeatedly come and pass with my things still in the pickup state. I was promised at least 24 hours advanced delivery notice and did not receive a call until the day they showed up. Delivery movers did not speak any English, did not bring tools to reassemble furniture and therefore did not assemble ANY furniture (which was included in the contract). Very dishonest and unprofessional. Awful customer service. Avoid this company all together.

During the Process Eco was very informational and available. Easy to get a hold of and get my answers questioned. During the pick up everything was on time, they even packed my things up and my price didnt go up at all. After the pickup i had to call a few times to see when and where my delivery would come. They were able to give me upfront answers. I wish they would have called me instead of me calling them but either way, everything went as smooth as possibble. My delivery came ontime and they helped put everything where it needed to be and assembled my furniture. I appreciated their help a lot.

I am 27 and currently finished college in D.C. When I finished i met the love of my life who lives in Washington State. After dating for years I decided to marry and move in with him. I had never done a long distance move before. I started calling around and after inquiring and speaking to every company. Lucky for me his company was paying for the move, so they helped me pick a company as well. Eco was a great choice. After filling out my inventory over the phone, i needed to reserve the date for a small deposit. They allowed me to reserve it, and also were very patient while my fiance's company was calling to give the credit card information etc. Not only were they patient enough to deal with me, they were patient enough to deal with another business as well! Everything was packed- the movers were really nice, and now im in Washington with my belongings in good shape, and my husband!!

I moved with Eco Van Lines a little over a month ago and as soon as I got settled I wanted to let everyone know how great this whole moving experience was. I went online not knowing what to look for and when Eco Van Lines contacted me about my enquiry. They where excellent from beginning to end and everything was done all in great time. They even helped with some additional packing that my wife and I couldn't finish on our own. My whole family was impressed with their work and if I where to move again I would certainly use them, as well as recommend them to anyone.

Eco VanLines was totally professional in every aspect... The men didnt look uniformed, but they performed to our high standards which are not easy.... The only set back was they were two hours late on the delivery but the price was excellent and after reading some horror stories- I definitely have no regrets.

I've used Eco Van Lines twice and they made the nightmare of moving as dreamy as can be. Simplicity, efficiency and honesty is the key. Day of move, they showed up 5 minutes early and were done within few hours.
The movers are friendly and professionals. They don't complain. Nor did they blink when it turned out my estimate (2nd move) was a little shortsighted (I had way more stuff than I thought). They probably felt bad for having to charge me for the extra stuff i forgot so they moved an additional couch down three flights to my friend's apartment for free.. And then seemed genuinely thrilled and grateful for a tip. They'll move anything. Local. Long distance. A whole apartment. A single piece of furniture. They're great. Their number is saved in my phone for any and all future moves.

I was so stressed about moving and was so frustrated. I did a search online and found eco. From the moment I heard my sales reps voice I felt such at ease. She was very thorough, virtuous and so helpful. The crew arrived right one time on the day of my move and did an great job! They worked hard, did not complain at all and kept moving til the job done. It was just a great experience and I highly recommend Eco Vanlines to anyone!

Unloaded in tons of snow and still very extremely pleasant & professional & ON TIME on a Sunday ! The fridge was a special problem which solved by removing the doors and reinstalling after getting through the door. They got the job done efficiently without causing any damage, and maintained a cheerful &quot;can do&quot; attitude. We will definitely use them again !!!

This is what happened to us in brief. These movers took 46 days to deliver our stuff. They told us it would be delivered in one week, but the contract they brought said that the guarantee was for delivery in 30 business days (which didn't happen either). At delivery, we asked for $30 dollars for every day of delay as it says in the contract, but they threatened to take our stuff back if we didn't pay the whole amount.
They originally had said that they would assemble our furniture after delivery, but they dumped all boxes in the lobby of our apartment and charged us extra to even bring it up to our apartment.
The moving truck was not Eco Vanlines'. It was a budget truck.
Some of the boxes had holes and rodent droppings in them! They were damp too. Obviously, we had to throw away lots of things.
Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. During the 46 days of waiting for delivery, we were calling them almost everyday asking where our stuff is. They would say they would call right back after checking the status, but that never happened. One person actually said to me &quot;you sound like a young healthy guy, why didn't you move it yourself?&quot;.
We were having a baby and we had a lot of baby furniture, clothing, bottles, and stuff and we really needed an early delivery. I begged them to deliver our stuff on time. We ended up buying everything again. Please, learn from our experience, and do not use this company. Dealing with Eco Van lines is probably one of the worst experiences of my life.

My husband went on line and filled out a request for a moving quote. Within 24 hours I thought I was going to have to disconnect my phone number. We were flooded with calls from companies. Barry was my contact person at Eco Van Lines. His approach was not aggressive and fast talking but more on the lines of very informative and assuring. After speaking with him and doing research we decided to use Eco Van Lines for our move to AZ. Everything went as planned and delivered without any problems. I do highly recommend Eco Van Lines.

Eco Van Lines moved me from NJ to MA.The truck showed up 8 in the morning and the movers started packing and loading and were out around 11 am. I then started my drive to MA and we got there around 3 45. They started unloading and placing the furniture and the boxes in the room. They put my bed and my dining room set in place and finished the move. They were quick, professional, and not expensive thank you for the good service!

I was impressed with the precision, organization and carefulness they exhibited during the lengthy process. This company is a scam. They quote a fair rate and then capture your goods on a truck and will not release without doubling the price. We moved some very expensive furniture from DC to San Francisco. We had contact with several different named movers along the way when we thought ECO was supposed to be the mover. I suspect they operate under different names to avoid responsibility. A three week delivery took over 60 days and when it arrived the driver demanded another $800. We refused, he left and the next demand was $1,400. We paid to get our things released, but when it was unloaded the very valuable furniture had been reduced to trash with broken parts, missing sofa cushions and badly scarred wood. No one to respond, no one available, different companies pointed the finger at others. Will have to sue to recover and likely they will be bankrupt. Hopefully, the consumer protection department of the local district attorney will be able to help.

Unbeknownst to me, Eco Van Lines contracts out to different movers. At the time of pick up, I had to sign all of the new moving company's paperwork. As you could guess, Eco Van Lines gave me a &quot;binding quote&quot;, but the new company did not receive any information about that price and charged me their rates. I called Eco Van Lines at least 6 times a day for the next few weeks and conveniently, could never get past the receptionist. I was put on hold for 15 minutes at a time before I would hang up and try later (using all of my cell minutes). I provided the actual moving company with the quote and all of my paperwork and we had to re-work out a price. To this day, I am unable to get ahold of the original consultant or any supervisor at Eco Van Lines. They are a total scam.

I'm extremely grateful to the staff of Eco Van Lines for their excellent work during my mother's move this past month. I had my doubts about hiring a mover over the phone, but they proved themselves to be extremely forthcoming and knowledgeable. I spoke to a number of companies, many of which turned out to actually be moving brokers. With Eco, I knew my stuff was in their hands for the duration of the move. Their staff was very professional, just the sorts of people I would expect to entrust with my belongings.

We used Eco Vanlines for our move to Phoenix after hearing from half a dozen movers with all sorts of promises to sell. I feel like you can't choose a mover only based on price. You have to trust your gut, and in the case of Eco Vanlines, the people I spoke to had a ton of information available, and were happy to answer tough questions. The moving crew was just great, on time and easy going. There were changes to the price, because I had to add a few pieces of furniture last minute, but it was added at the same rate as the quote, and it wasn't a surprise.

The following has been my experience with the company. But first I will immediately sum up:
I wish I paid some stranger $3,500 to kick me in the ***** slap me in the face and then steal my stuff. This is EXACTLY the feeling that I get when working with this company.

I originally found this company on relocation.com and was provided a number of quotes. This company quoted me about the same price as a lot of its competitors and it was only maybe 100 bucks cheaper.
So after about 30 minutes to develop a more accurate quote from the company, the price was more than the ballpark quote. OK, fair enough, that happens. However, when the movers came to pick up my stuff, my moving nightmare began.

I requested a full service move where only one room would need to be packed up. The kitchen. The BINDING quote was for $1934.28. I had scheduled for the pick up of my stuff for 8-31-2011. I was told they would be there between 1 pm and 4 pm. At about 5:30 pm two guys showed up at my house and had no packaging material with them and I was told that the binding quote was not accurate and they needed to charge me more money! This floored me. I don't understand how you can have a BINDING QUOTE and then just change the price when the movers show up. More than that, they claimed that the price quoted didn't cover packaging of the kitchen even though I expressedly requested this several times with my Relocation Consultant who was supposed to be my consultant throughout the entire move as stated on the binding quote. Which by the way I have not heard of since my stuff was picked up and have called several times since. The price the moving guys quoted me was $3325.38 for what they claimed was 700 cubic feet! I was orginally quoted $1934.28 for 512 cubic feet, including the motorcycle. This is an unexpected increase of 72% for a 37% change in cubic footage!!!!!! What is even more disturbing is that on August 21st I received a ballpark estimate for $3305 for a FULL SERVICE MOVE and that was for 929 cubic feet! how is this computed?
Under time constraints at that time, I reluctantly paid it hoping customer support would chime in and offer and explanation or resolution or something. That never happened. So now at 5:30 pm, these two movers were demanding more money and were completely unprepared to fulfill what I ordered (the packing of the kitchen). So they took over an hour to go to the local Home Depot to pick up some boxes. They returned to my house well after 7 pm, (3 hours after the window I was told), worked for a little bit and then took an hour for dinner. I contributed to the move as much as I could. Moving boxes to the back of the truck to help those two guys load up. Even with me working as if I was on the payroll, they didn't leave my house until 1 am!!! The place was left in a complete mess and several things were left behind. This later cost me over $350 to have cleaned up.
I contacted Eco Van Lines on 9-7-2011 at 11:16 am, and told them about the issues I had and was connected to Roni. She said she would look into the issue and contact me back. A week passed and on 9-14-2011 at 10:54 am I called back and again was connected to Roni. She told me that I had to wait until the move was completed and then, and only then, could I be connected to the claims department to have these issues either resolved or compensated for.

On Monday the 26th at 1:51 pm I contacted Eco Van Lines and was again connected to Roni. The purpose of this call was to schedule the delivery of my stuff on the 29th at 5pm. Incidentally, delivery WAS critical since I had to reserve the elevator in this apartment complex and the apartment complex installs protective covering for the elevators. Roni told me that dispatch would be in contact with me and didn't see a problem with the date or time. So I called when it was supposed to be delivered and no answer and I left a message. And have been no call back since. I wrote an email to only have been ignored. On Monday the 3rd I called and talked to Lea at 10:22 am. She had told me that she couldn't tell me when my stuff would be delivered and that I was not allowed to access my stuff. On Oct 4th I called and Jonathan had transferred me to dispatch when I was on hold for several minutes only to be forced to leave another message. On Wednesday the 6th I called and got Jonathan again. After being on hold for 10 minutes then being hung up on, which I do believe was an accident I called back and got Jonathan again and he put me on hold for 3 more minutes and told me my stuff would be loaded on the truck by Sunday I asked him what that meant and he just repeated what he said. I assumed it meant out for delivery on Sunday Oct 9th. Nothing no call, no reply to email. On Wednesday the 12th, I get a call from Eli in dispatch and said that he would give me the number of the truck driver when my stuff gets loaded on the truck IN TENNESSEE!!!!! So even though I was told it would be delivered on the 29th of September, on October the 12th I was told my stuff was still in a warehouse 2,500 miles away!!!!!!

It is now the 14th of October 2011 and I still have no idea where my stuff is, when it will be delivered, if it has been stolen and absolutely NO response from customer service.

At this point I feel the need to find legal recourse.
