I just completed my move from Dallas to Chicago and wanted to share my experience. The guys in Dallas were very professional and courteous. They cleared out my 3 bedroom town home within a matter of hours and I was truly amazed at how fast they worked while at the same time keeping everything safe. My delivery was very quick and I received my furniture with in 2 days. Superb service from start to finish I will definitely use again for my next move!

Green Van Lines is an insured and licensed mover with Texas Department Of Transportation and US department of Transportation. Last month, our office was repositioned to its new venue. I was asked to put forward the name of an ideal mover. So, I recommended Green Van Lines to my authority. They paid heed to my suggestion and hired Green Van Lines for moving all the items of our office to the destination site. Actually, Green Van Lines is not a new company in the moving industry. They conducted innumerable corporate moves throughout the country till date. The professionally certified crews of Green Van Lines moved all the official equipment with a noticeable aptness. It does not matter whether you need large-scale relocation or a move with various phases.

I was moving from a 1 bedroom apartment to an upstairs studio, which wasn’t anyhow going to make it easy on them. Jason and his partner showed up right on time in the morning and started getting to work immediately. The crew was extremely careful with my items and the way the crew members accommodated the items in the truck deserves sheer mentioning.
Once I reach out to my new place, I found the passageways too narrow to fit anything large. The movers noticed that and chalked out a plan. What did they do? They figured out a way to load everything over the balcony! I remember how other movers whom I was negotiating with told me that it was a no-go and made me feel disheartened. Considering the price I paid to Green Van Lines, I decided to tip them well because if they were not by my side I could have been in a soup! I've already referred a couple of friends to them and will continue to do so.

Green Van Lines guys are so professional that I have decided to pen down the first review based on my experience. Few days ago, I got baffled looking at the entirely unpacked messy condition of my house. On top of that, with ailing wife and a little daughter at home, I was not in a position to relocate. So I felt like giving Green Van Lines a call as they are expert in the business and has been in the business for long.

On the moving day, the guys showed up in a spacious moving truck that accommodated all my furniture without any hitch. They wrapped and packed tightly so that no untoward incidents happen en-route. They are smart, efficient and friendly and of course so polite. Highly recommended!

We had to move from Toronto to Calgary in December and after searching around I found GREEN VANLINES to offer the most reasonable price. I contacted them and paid the $100 deposit, and asked them if they would match the price if I find a cheaper one, and Sarah Turk (the nice lady who helped us out in the process) said they will. A few days later I found another moving company which offered to do everything the Green Van Lines offered but for $100 less. So I called Sarah and she asked me to send her that company's quote, and after she reviewed it, she gave me a call to let me know that she will match their price.
EVERY THING WAS GREAT. I must admit that after getting the discount I had my doubts and worries about this company and if they will do a nice job. Let me tell you that they were all professionals, starting from the two very nice guys who showed up to pick our furniture, to Sarah, to the 2 guys delivering our furniture in Calgary
A BIG THUMBS UP FOR GVL AND ITS EMPLOYEES.

I had a small 1 bedroom apt. to move and needed it done fast. I contacted Green Van Lines because I know some friends that used them in the past and liked their service. I didn't really shop around and actually am glad that I didn't. They gave me a fair price and got the job done efficiently. Just wanted to post my thoughts to the world and give a recommendation to this awesome company that by the way is Eco-Friendly which I think amazing!

Being an environmentalist, I would like to attach credence to Green Van Lines on account of their environment-friendly pursuits. At first, it should be admitted that Green Van Lines is the only company which uses bio-diesel for running their vehicles. Recently, they have showed a Green Thumb with a distinct sort of ostentation by introducing â Green Crates on rent. These are the eco-friendly crates which are used during moving. Green Van Lines have been pursuing prolonged and sustained research on environmental well-being since the moment of its inception. The crates are 100% bio-degradable. So, there is no qualm for the imminence of environmental jeopardy as well as ecological peril. Most of the moving companies are using crates made of cardboard indiscriminately but Green Van Lines is the first one to make a beaten track.

This was my first ever moving experience and it really couldn’t get any better. I was moving from a studio to a fifth floor apartment, and the guys had all of my things on the truck from upstairs in less than three hours. They loaded all the boxes very securely, wrapped and padded all of the bigger furniture efficiently. Indeed an honest and affordable mover and the team they sent couldn't have been better to work with. Good job Green Van Lines...you guys deserve a pat!

Guys were hard-working, conducted smoother move and offered a wonderful moving experience. Since moving is no easy task, I decided to get in touch with a professional mover so that I can have an easy move. I found the name of Green Van Lines through Yelp, saw cool reviews and that’s why I decided to give them a call. The movers did work with my schedule and budget and were right on time on the day of moving. Everything went off without any hassles, nothing was broken or damaged at all and they were done with time to spare. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Hope, if I move again anytime soon, I would surely avail their service.

Green Van Lines was really a blessing in disguise when I needed them the most. The mover paid heed to all my suggestions and executed the pick-up process neatly. They put all my belongings in the room, where they were supposed to keep so that I would not have to move it around later. They not only dropped the items at the desired destination but also worked quickly to ensure that I didn’t have to shell out anything extra. Even when I checked the inventory after the move, I was happy like anything since there were lots of fragile items and costly items to deal with and I found them in good condition. Hat's off Guys!

Working with an honest and dedicated company was really a matter of sheer luck. We took the service of Green Van Lines and what impressed me a lot was their honesty. They informed us about all the possible issues that might crop up with the moving. Since our house was located in a narrow lane, so they made me aware that the bigger truck might create some problem and suggested me of using smaller truck on the moving day. Its good to know that they really care about the little things and helped us in saving money, which otherwise would cost us hefty. Really made us feel that they really care about the customer.

I’ts indeed a pleasure to move with Green Van Lines. I recently had the same pleasure of moving with Green Van Lines from my house to my newly bought condo. Since my condo was under construction status, so I decided to put all my stuffs at Green Van Lines Storage. The climate controlled storage facility impressed me a lot. Our items were wrapped technically and stored in the units safely. I just wanted to make sure that all my items get protected and remain unhurt. I am happy enough to say that there were no damages caused to my furniture. The movers literally restored my faith.

Most of the time, we find movers making tall claims but never ever delivered even 50 percent of what they vow to deliver. This seems really embarrassing and this is indeed a common practice by most of the professional movers. So, I was bit concerned about which moving company to choose from. Then my uncle suggested the name of Green Van Lines since he availed their service quite a good number of times. Once, I got their name I tried to get in touch with them, talked with one of their representatives about the move over phone. The representative did manage to convince me about the move and provided a binding quote based on the inventory which i found pretty satisfactory. The movers were highly trained and were ready to give more than 100%. I was taken aback by their professionalism, shown on the moving day. Trust me; I got a very smooth, stress-free and timely move. Indeed a nice experience to be remembered life-long!

Green Van Lines arguably acts as the best bet when the matter relates to corporate move. During my office relocation, they stayed by my side right from start to final finish and lived up to my expectations. Although our move was local, but the thing that made me tad nervous was the process of relocation. Since I had been carrying lots of fragile items with me, I was bit concerned about selecting a reliable mover who could really give value to my moving needs. Trust me the whole moving was just a breeze. They started and ended very well taking good care of every possession.The greatest fear I had was with the shifting of items like LCD television,large mirrors, and ceramic pots. Believe me, not a single item was found broken or banged up. All my possessions were carefully packed using packing tape,bubble wraps, blankets and boxes.

This company claimed to offer price matching but refused each quote we submitted to them on grounds that the other companies did not compare to them, when in fact, their service turned out to be just the same. They claimed that our goods would be picked up and delivered by trained professionals using their vehicles. While pick up was handled well, delivery was not. Our goods arrived several days later than we were told, in another company's van, our coffee table was broken, and the driver of the van called us to see if we knew anyone who could help him move our stuff. Very unprofessional and not what we paid for. This was supposed to take the headache out of moving out of state but instead it increased our stress. I do not recommend this company.

We moved my grandmother from Brantford, ON to Thunder Bay, ON and were quoted 2-4 days - not only did they show up a day late to pick up her possessions, they are now more than TWO WEEKS LATE delivering her items. The worst part? More than HALF of her furniture (all beautiful, irreplaceable antique pieces) has been irreparably damaged & broken. I am absolutely disgusted by this company and have no idea how they've managed to continue business however long they have. Ratings found online are suspiscious - they either receive the full 5 or 10 star rating or 0 stars - seems very fishy, as though someone is bolstering their own reviews. You might as well pay someone to hide your things for two weeks, then smash them into pieces. You'd have the exact same result.

Attempts to contact the company are absolutely frustrating - they are unsympathetic, unapologetic and full of attitude. If I could give negative stars, believe me, I would.

I must say that when I received my quote I was rather skeptical because their price seemed to be higher than the other quotes I have received. The reason I say it seemed to be higher is because after I forwarded them these quotes(as recommended by my sale's rep Arthur) he showed me these companies that I was getting quote from were definitely not as reputable as they led me to believe. Arthur showed me various websites that I did not manage to find myself and I found out a lot of new information about the moving industry that I did not know before. I moved my 4 bedroom house from Dallas to Los Angeles and spent a couple of months shopping around. I am so glad I came across this company before I made a very big mistake of choosing a moving broker. The customer service was superb and the movers themselves were outstanding. I can say this company is very professional and I would recommend them to anyone planning on moving. Thanks Green Van Lines if I move again it will be with you!

I was moving from Texas to Oregon and researching different moving companies. I settled on Green Van Lines because Arthur was pretty helpful in helping me find good resources and that they charged per item, not by the pound or volume. It was nice peace of mind knowing that the amount they quoted me was the amount I was going to pay, even if they weren't the cheapest.

They showed up at my house in a Green Van Lines truck, 3 workers wrapped everything I had in blankets and they even gave me free packaging for my LCD tv. I paid them for the first half of their services and then they left. I drove to Oregon with just a car-full of stuff. They said they would drop off everything within two weeks of the day I requested, so I had to spend a little over a week sleeping on an air mattress and eating take-out.

Since these guys are a local Texas company, they only picked up my items. They seemed to have contracted the rest of the move with another moving company. The guy who picked up my items assured me that a cashier's check would be fine for the drop-off. Since it was a separate company dropping my items off, they only wanted money orders or cash. This wouldn't have been a problem if they hadn't called me in the evening before they were dropping it off, which was scheduled for early before the banks opened. After calling my bank's hotline to get the funds moved around to buy the money orders, I was ready to go. The mover arrived late that afternoon, which made all my stress the previous evening for nothing. He mentioned that he hadn't slept in 3 days, which really did not sit well with me. I wish I could remember what company that was. Whatever their methods were, all my stuff arrived in one piece.

BOTTOM-LINE: These guys are probably fine for a local move in Texas, but don't go too far. They are legit, although maybe not the best-run company. They charge a flat rate based off what items you're moving, so make a detailed inventory.

This company is just terrible in every aspect of business. Poor communication deceitful business practices and in the end they farmed my move out to some guys in a rent a truck!

This is a fly by night operation that does nothing but take a cut of your hard earned money than disappears.

I used Green Van lines based on reviews from another website and it turns out that website is full of bogus reviews posted by the moving companies themselves.

They broke my things delivered me late contracted our move out to another company who said we went over the estimate and charged us more then we contracted for. Don't waste your money!

Many of the positive feeds you see written here are people who are paid to write good things about the company. I am sure there are customers that have been satisfied, but I honestly question how many. From how bad I was treated, how stressful the move was, how I had several broken things, certain pieces missing, furniture assembled incorrectly, and the amount I paid, I would not recommend anybody to go thru what I did.

Misty, the sales lady was unprofessional rude, and never returned any of my messages in a timely fashion. I was informed that I had up until 24 hours before the actual move to call her and let her know any additional furniture or boxes that I wanted moved, or if I want to take any off the list. For about 10days, I called her with my updated list. Ironically, there were times she would pick up, and then tell me she would call me back, but when she actually had time to talk it was too late and I had to pay significant amount more. When I told her how many messages I left

1. Green Van Lines is not who they say they are.
2. Green Van Lines got their Green Cert. by providing a smoke free environment, Not what they tell you on the phone and not what you think. (Misty Way Lies like most people breath) Misty will even give you her cell phone number but once you have hired them will do nothing for you.
3. Green Van Lines is owned by Guy Cohen directer and the CEO is Hagai Maman. They are both Isrial born and have many different addresses personally and professionally.
4. GVL are commiting Fraud on many levels and not only should you write reviews but you should contact FBI, The US DA's office as well as other federal Fraud divisions.
5. They are not accretied with the BBB.
6. The Insurance Co. name they give you is CSI even their web site says they are not an Insurance Co.
7. These people lied to me so many times I can't list them all and broke or damaged every piece of furniture I own.
DO NOT BE FOOLED LIKE ME!! RUN DO NOT WALK RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT USE GREEN VAN LINES. I READ THAT SOME VERY POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FALSE. GOOGLE YELP GREEN VAN LINES AND FAKE. ARTHUR from Green Van Lines completely lied to me about their services. He told me that they are not a broker and you do all their own moving; however, individuals that delivered my goods did not work for Green Van Lines. The people who delivered my goods were haphazard with everything. My goods were tossed all over their truck. They had not packed them correctly at all � instead, they threw everything in there. What kind of professional movers work this way? And, what professional mover puts a glass coffee table flat on the bed of the truck?s In addition to my expensive coffee table being shattered, my art work has a hole in the back, my bicycle is not working properly, my TV cabinet broken, my dining room table corners are damaged, and several things are shattered. I paid an extra $300 for them to pack these things.

On Feburary 22nd, 2011, I did my due diligence and shopped moving companies based off of both reviews and pricing (pricing to out weigh ratings due to budget if necessary). When I called Green Van Lines I specifically asked for 2 quotes. One for the FULL moving deal to include EVERYTHING (ie-packing, loading and hauling). The second to include only loading and hauling. The sales rep that I worked with, Rocky T., told me at least 5 times that the two quotes that I received were exactly what I asked for. I had no reason to doubt because what else would the two quotes have been for since there arent many options. I knew that I would be moving around May or June so I had left myself plenty of time (3 months) to do my homework. After shopping several companies, Green Van Lines came out with competitive quotes and good customer service. So it seemed. On May 15th, I finally received word from my realtor that my place was going to officially be available to move into on June 1st. I had talked with Rocky several times in between now and then to ensure that my move date would still be available. As we went to put the official move date in stone (2 weeks out), he suddenly changed his tone of voice and hesitated to say, some things had changed that may impact our deal. He then went on to admit that he had made a mistake on the hourly rate and was off by $50/hr which results in a $1,100 dollar difference in the quote. I was upset but being in business, I understand that mistakes happen. In this case, even though it sounded like an honest mistake I asked for his supervisor for resolution and compromise. In comes Guy Cohen x116,a supervisor.This is the most unprofessional person that I have EVER spoken with. He immediately raised his voice and constantly stated that he saw nothing wrong. He then openly accused me of trickery and liying. I am an honest person and have NEVER reported ANYBODY to BBB or anything similar, but this deserves it 110%. After repeatedly interrupting me when I simply asked for a compromise, after his employee had openly admitted to making the mistake, he continuously raised his voice and told me that he had lawyers to fight such accusations He then pointed out some small print on the contract that states specifically, Unless otherwise stated this estimate does not include packing materials and/or services (i.e. materials such as boxes, mattress covers, bubble wrap and crating.) Should you require any packing materials and/or services you will be charged only per items and/or services used He then told me, dont trust anything that our salespeople say, only trust the contract because the salesperson doesnt represent the company. The contract does WHAT?! How convenient that at the top of the same contract in bold letters it states, GUARANTEED RATE After unremittingly interrupting, he then proceeded to tell me how this was a normal packing quote and now I was asking for a full packing quote. This is simply absurd. What would have been the point of me asking for 2 quotes in the first place if one hadnt been full and the other normal To the common layman, who would know to ask specifically for the difference anyway when the representative of Green Van Lines, Rocky T. had assured me that the 2 quotes I had in hand were in deed what he said they were. When you are told that this quote includes EVERYTHING, why would there be reason to doubt that this quote does not include EVERYTHING? The fact that the supervisor told me not to trust his salesman should tell you something about this company and the way it is run. If I hadnt have done my homework, I probably wouldnt have seen my personal property ever again when I refused to pay their ridiculous re-manufactured rates. I am moving on a tight budget and an extremely tight timeline. I have a company, family and realtors invested in this move and I am now losing credibility due to this unprofessional business. Again, I understand that mistakes happen. But, when an obvious mistake (this detrimental) is made and admitted to, management should be willing to compromise. Guy Cohen x116, is absolutely in the wrong position and this company should be reprimanded for their business behavior. They have put me in an extremely precarious position and have caused inordinate amounts of stress as a result.

I honestly think the ppl at greenvanlines write these reviews. They called me several times to buy, and once I agreed that�s when the problems started. I had to call them several times because my stuff was missing, and damaged, and Guy who is suppose to be the manager never once called me back. Im still waiting on my refund. Please don't use them. It seems kind of fishy that all the customers at green van line reviews are all 5 stars hmmmm. Let me tell you about my move: Where do I start, first they call me 2 hours before to tell me they will be delivering my things. They show up, and guess what I`m missing some items. I call to let them know, it takes 2 days for them to locate my things, once they find them they tell me the will be dev on a certain date, yet they never come. I called them so many times, and each time I was told a different date. I finally got my missing items. I regret spending over 1000.00 to move, I should have just done it myself. Btw don't trust Hayley,or Guy at greenvanlines, and I'm still waiting on my refund.

Look if you ask me to judge Greenvanlines according to the service then I am giving Greenvanlines Movers 10 out of 10 for sure! My neighbor recommended them for my recent move after she and her family moved with them. They gave me a quote that was really in the cheaper side. I took quotes from nearly ten movers from Dallas, Texas but what they offered was the best deal so far based on my move. After everything got completed, I tipped the guys and they were very happy to get their well deserved tip. They used plenty of blankets to keep my items safe (they were included in the cost) and the items arrived just as I did! Timely move what I asked for and they did exactly that.

THANKS TO GREENVANLINES FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK AND TIMELY MOVE!!!

Recently I moved from Dallas to Wisconsin, I got a quotation from R and L Services, I think he is only Money Robbing Agent, he gave me one Quote. Green Van lines people came to my home to pick the stuff, I was having only few hours for the flight and need to vacate the apartment, and they know all these reasons.
They double the quote; I was forced to do it, because of my flight time and need to vacate the apartment. At the time of Delivery, the delivery guy was very rude, he brought the big truck in the Apartment parking lot, he saying 225 feet from his truck to my Apartment, he said only 75 feet is included in the Quote and he charged me extra $150.00, he said if iam not paying the extra amount he is going to leave the stuff in the parking lot only. He did not even give me dollar discount. And they only want cash or cashier check.
Never in my life recommend GREEN VAN LINE and R AND L SERVICES, are they professional highway robbers.

1)Estimate is by phone/online- This was my mistake and I got sweet talked into it. Misty Way claimed she had so much experience that she almost always got her estimates right. Truth is I gave her most of my listings and even sent pictures to her of our place. I went into more detail but she gave an attitude as if it was no big deal and just give me the big stuff. She told me she overestimated my box count. On pickup day, the movers were very picky about the inventory list. &quot;This carry-on luggage? it's not on the inventory, I'll have to charge you extra.&quot; I was charged $1100 more than estimated, I compromised with him since I helped the movers pack down to $800. It took them 12 hours to finish packing and loading my 2 bedroom 960 square foot condo. Mind you I did have 3 flights of stairs though.

2)Movers: Showed up at my place on time then took over a one hour lunch break after working an hour. Came in and were surprised it was full packing despite everywhere on my estimate listed as full pack. THERE was no organization in their packing. Stuff from my bedroom was mixed with my living room, etc. None of the boxes were labeled appropriately, or specifically. The only labeling was 'medium box', 'small box', or 'containers'. So anything could be in them and missing items would not have been accounted for easily given the poor labeling mechanism. The company expected us to keep an eye on everything that was done, when it was impossible since the movers were moving from bedroom to living room findings things to pack in the boxes just to fill them. Unpacking was a chore. Didn't know where anything was. A lot of my furniture was damaged, and I have a missing X-box 360 and missing box, labeled as 'lamp.' Odd thing is, everything that was around my XBOX360 (DVD player,router, etc., were in one box and are accounted for. Lost? Stolen? I guess I could have been more proactive, telling them to label the boxes appropriately. Shame on me for trusting them to do a good job.

3) Delivery crew: I was specifically told by Misty Way that anybody handling my property would be employees of Green Van lines. The crew comes to my place, and I ask them who I write the money order to. The guy says &quot;Trans Atlantic.&quot; I say what? He says, &quot;I work for trans atlantic and my partner works for its sister company. Guy just told me to wear this shirt (Green Van Lines).&quot; They also caused damage to my doorway. I didn't receive 3 boxes according to my inventory, but there were 2 unmarked boxes in the truck that I knew were mine, since they were originally packed by me. A missing box out there labeled &quot;lamp&quot; even though I do not have a lamp missing.

4) Lack of communication/organization from top to bottom:
*In the preceding weeks/days before my move, I never received a packet of info or anything in what and how to prepare for the move. I always had to contact them. I attributed this to them being a small company. But this is really poor customer service. I guess they assume you know everything when they come to move your stuff
*I was told before my pickup date that the driver will be able to tell me when my furniture will be delivered. He tells me Tuesday. I didn't get my stuff until Friday.
*Overcharged- I asked the mover, about the frequency of having the estimate wrong and having extra charges at time of move. He tells more times than not, the customer always pays extra. Rarely, is the estimate ever correct. Definitely opposite of what Misty told me
*Only Green Van Lines employess will handle my property
*Maybe they only sent 3 people out because they thought it was just a loading job. Could've used 4 to be more efficient, less tired, thus a better job.
*Nobody seems to want to take responsibility for my lost items, especially my xbox360. I'll just have to eat the costs or maybe buy it on ebay.

If I had to do it over, I would think twice about Green Van Lines. I wouldn't go with a company that doesn't send an agent to look at your inventory. They actually put this on their website as a moving tip. Contact me for questions

Just a warning for all of you trying to be green out there - this is not the company to use. I actually never paid Green Van Lines for my move, but instead paid a company who is not BBB acredited, has a lower rating and does not promote anything green about the way that they move you. If you want to have a green company move you - I would highly suggest not opting for this one. To add to the whole experience, they picked my stuff up in New Orleans 5 days later than they said they would and they have not scheduled a delivery date for Dallas yet. They say it should be here within 6 business days which if it is on the 6th business day will equate to 20 days from pick-up. Considering it's an 8 hour drive from New Orleans to Dallas, I wonder where my belongings are. Hmmm... maybe they are being very green and transporting it via covered wagon??

Please be very cautious if you are considering them. Don't hesitate to contact me for more specifics.

They'll call you repeatedly for your business (she even called me at work!), but after they get your money, you have to call them repeatedly.

5) Business practice: Green? Nothing I saw about this company was green. None of the boxes or tape were recycled. Nor did they seem to do anything special to be eco friendly. The only green about them were their shirts. Also, looking at their website there is a reference page http://www.greenvanlines.com/read_more.php There is a remark by a Guy Cohen. He actually manages the company.





If I had to do it over, I would NOT choose Green Van Lines. No professionalism was shown. NEVER go with a company that doesn't send an agent to look at your inventory. They actually put this on their website as a moving tip. There is a reason why they are a 'small company.' I don't look forward of going through the process of finding another moving company in the next year. Very disappointed and hope you don't fall in their trap. Feel free to contact me, don't make the same mistake.
