The move was smooth the time frame provided for pickup and delivery was good. The care to prepare items for the shipping was excellent. The delivery was on time and the item arrived in good condition. The only challenge was moving it up the stairs.

Save your money!!!

Moves for Seniors estimated a cost of $6533.36. IAW their terms and conditions, they charged my credit card for approximately half of the estimate ($3265.00).

Note that their terms and conditions have provisions for raising the eventual cost, but no provisions for reducing the cost, if the actual cost is less than the estimate.

After the move was completed, the mover misspoke and told me the total cost of the move($5280.54). Moves for Seniors then revised the estimate on their invoice to $8545.54 and noted that it was paid in full. Moves for Seniors took the total cost, and charged that to my credit card. They had previously charged my credit card half of the estimated cost, for a total of $8545.54 charged to my card.

When I brought the above to the attention of the Senior Partner Services Manager, I was told: The original quote The original quote and invoice from Moves for Seniors was for $6533.36. This is the price of the move.

I just had a very bad experience with Transit Systems Inc.

I moved a very rare radio/phono cabinet from Redding CA. to

Virginia. First, they put a piece of chip board on a pallet and

when the truck hit a bump, the legs went through the chip

board, tearing up the legs. They damaged several places on the

cabinet. I quoted 3k for a value and they typed $300. The quote

to repair the damage was $450. They said I had a $100

deductible so it was a wash. I kept calling and emailing them

and nobody ever got back to me. Horrible customer service.

We had to move across country on very short notice and TSI was the only company who was able to help us, going out of their way to adjust their schedule to our move. We were extremely happy with the competitive price estimate and then quote, which didn't change at all during the move (I had heard horror stories about price increases during moves with some companies). The movers themselves were the most professional I had ever met - very polite and courteous with our things. Throughout the entire process I had a customer rep assigned to me who constantly stayed in touch via phone and email to keep me updated on where the truck is and when it will arrive. After the move, when one small table leg was broken (I think some damage is inevitable in a cross country move), the mover and TSI helped me quickly process a generous refund for the damage and I received the refund in a matter of just a few days. We were very happy with TSI from start to finish and we will definitely use them again.

Awful experience. Our shipment arrive nearly a week late with damaged goods - no apology, only excuses. Hire the carrier directly - you'll be better off!



We hired Transit Systems to provide curb-to-curb delivery. At the origin the truck driver arrived an hour after the window with a bad back - he carted a few loads to the tailgate and I carried the rest, I saw him use the liftgate once. At the destination we received all contact from the carrier themselves, not TS. The carrier representative seemed confused and was clearly ineffective - meanwhile TS did nothing to assist. We scheduled two deliveries and we had both deliveries cancelled without notice from the carrier or TS. On Monday we spoke with TS and received what was perhaps the worst customer service we've ever experienced - outlandishly rude, repeatedly shouting over our voices and questioning the truthfulness of our statements - we hired TS to complete a simple service, not to argue and make excuses for failures. This was the worst ever. The only good thing was they picked up and delivered on-time. My quote was for a mattress/box spring/bedframe. I was quoted 150 lbs. Got to the dock and it was 350 lbs. I personally was able to lift one box and it weighed 20 lbs and the smaller weight they claim they weighed was 95. So apparently my 100 lb daughter can lift a 100 lb box no problem. I specfically go weights from the mattress manufacturer and the bed & box spring weighed 125. Plus there would be the weight of the box. They weighed it at 145 & 110 libs, plus 90 for the bedframe. That's the heaviest metal bedframe I've ever seen. Either Conway (the shipper) or transit system is making up weights to get more money, then they just charge your card since they have it on file from the initial charge. This is quite the scam. To top it off the mattress boxes were not even recognizable because pf the damage. So I called transit systems since I bought insurance. They tell me to call the shipper.

Was very happy with the service I received. The quote was easy to get from Transit's website, and I was charged the same amount, no games on the price.



My shipment (big heavy box) was picked up on the scheduled date and delivered on time. The box looked a little rough from being moved around, but the content was perfect which is all I cared about. I would recommend transit to my friends if they were moving - the customer service was friendly and they sent me tracking updates too so I knew where my shipment was.

these people are not good and mean(they talk nice before picking you package)....i shipped my package from CA to OH, they use some other venders to ship your luggage, those venders feel like as if they are doing a free service(they broke a box while loading)........i got my package delayed 3 three times(when they picked my package they told me it would take 5-6 days and finally dropped my package after 15days)



my boxes were broker.....my glassware were broker.......and they do a very reckless job.......NOT WORTH ALL THIS TROUBLE.....STILL WANT TO GO WITH THEM !!!!!!!!!

Second time this summer that I used Transit Systems for cross country furniture shipments. I was really impressed with how well they packaged everything. All the corners were wrapped with heavy cardboard. Everything well blanketed. My only complaint is that a little more lead time for pickup and delivery would be helpful in today's hectic world.

Everything that was promised was "delivered" -- literally. The guys who packed and delivered my furniture were prompt and professional. After delivery they unpacked and removed packing material. Thank you TSI -- I will definitely use you again.

"The gentlemen called to see if arriving early was a problem. They were very friendly and took great care with our furniture. The response from the recipient of the furniture was the same.....on time, friendly and efficient. NO complaints at all and we wouldn't hesitate to use the service again."

Everything went well. Got the furniture on time. Driver/mover was great. Just need to make sure you pick the right delivery method; there are different plans such as "white glove" where they place the furniture inside and arrange it to your liking vs. just delivering to your driveway where you need to bring it in yourself.

I moved from Baltimore to Phx. I set up my move 3 weeks before I moved. The quote was fair, I was told it would be a thursday or friday pick up. I was fine with that. They told me if they are going to pick up on thursday they will call wednesday which again was fine. They never called that wed so I assumed it would be thursday they would call. I was leaving for the holidays and never got a call. I called them and they gave me the run around. I had to move my flight 2 days later because they werent coming till sunday. I was told it would be delivered week of dec 26th. it didnt show up till jan 4th between 1-4....they didnt show till 5. They inconvenienced me big time, and if I didnt email them they wouldnt have said anything to me. I was able to get a sorry but for what I payed and service I got. I hope this review can cause you to look somewhere else

I hired Transit Systems to ship an antique mining cart and rail system a total of 3 crates. I paid $900.31 for the delivery across country. The company lost my shipment costing me thousands of dollars. After they lost my shipment the friendly service team turned unbelievably rude. They started telling me it was my fault and that I should have purchased the insurance. I was never offered insurance!!!! Then to throw salt on my wound they do not even have the business ethics to refund the $900.31 I paid for shipment. Instead I was forced to submit a request to stop payment through Wells Fargo. To this day this slime ridden company is still fighting for payment. It takes some serious nerve to charge someone $900.31 to loose or steel their valuable positions.

By the way after they pick up your shipment they will call and ask for more money! Saying that your package weighs too much. Stay away from these clowns!!

Pick-up and delivery activities were conducted professionally. The logistical representatives (via phone conversations) as well as the actual drivers/delivery associates were kind, helpful, and behaved in a professional manner.
