Just A Warning, Jul 08, 2010
reviewer: The Beard from Anytown, AT 55555
To be honest the reason I even signed up for CitySearch is to write this review. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a business in my life. They sent two men who were overworked (one ended up getting fired the next day...as It was explained to me by the one of their office employees). They completely destroyed my bed, put a tear in a very expensive oil painting, gauges in my Eames furniture, vintage speakers, and many other damages. Nothing was wrapped or protected, their driving skills tore branches off my neighbors tree while trying to back up. Basically the WORST moving experience you could imagine. After taking pics of the damages all they could do is lie their way out of the situation and take NO responsibility. I am not writing this in malice...just as a warning to innocent people who may need an honest review of Olympic Movers business practices to save them from making a bad decision

Absolutely horrendous....., Jan 29, 2010
reviewer: Courtney R from IL
Absolutely horrendous..... Needed to move out of our place on a Thursday and have our stuff stored overnight before our closings. Got a quote for $600 (5.5 hours) or so for the move and when the movers showed up to move our stuff out the guy tells me "yeah we should be able to do this in 5.5 hours" I thought he meant the entire move but NOOOO...he actually meant move our stuff OUT of a 1+ bedroom where everything was boxed and wrapped would hopefully not take 5.5 hours. I told the driver "uhh I have a quote for the move out and move in for 5.5 hours" and was told the estimate only covered the move out!!! WTF, I paid these guys an extra $150 for overnight storage and so what a scam they only gave me an estimate to move out. Long story short, without any options and with a final walk-thru and 2 closings within 12 hours I didn\'t have a choice. I ended up paying over $1100 on a job that was estimated to cost $600, they ended up breaking lamps, a dresser, boxes, plates, etc.... scratched my hardwood floors, broke a thermostat, and so much more it really pisses me off to discuss it. I filed an insurance claim in August and I\'m still being jerked around. Do yourself a favor and don\'t fall for these guys. I wish I had used eZ movers like I did for my last move...they rocked!! STAY AWAY FROM OLYMPIC!!!! Best thing about this "economic crisis"? Shitty companies won\'t survive it....Don\'t give them your business!

IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY,TIME, BELONGINGS, Sep 22, 2009
reviewer: Sherry Upshaw from Anytown, AT 55555
I always say there\'s a sucker born every minute. Well I have finally been suckered. This is the worst company imaginable. Please read all the reviews I wish I had. They picked up my furniture on June 13th 09 and it still hasn\'t arrived after I was promised the date of 6/19. They told me they had 10 days after the promise date. Then after the 10 days they said they meant to say 10 business days. The movers lie when they get there and you if you don\'t speak spanish watch out. I was quoted 875.00 and then add ons began after the movers arrived charging for tape, bubble wrap, and plastic wrap and oh don\'t forget the 25.00 boxes. This was the biggest bait and switch I have ever seen. After they were done packing the truck they said I was 840 lbs over because they could tell by looking at the amount in the truck. I told them I wanted the weight ticket . I was told to call the office on Monday. It\'s funny they are convieniently closed on Sat. when most people do the moves. If anyone wants to contact me for a class action law suit I am with you. lilsher082@yahoo.com something has to be done about this company. I really can\'t say what the out come will be. They are late now I just hope they will arrive soon with minimal breakage. After reading all the negative reviews I have learned that everything needs to be checked out. Please Please I beg of you don\'t be sucked in by the nice customer service. You won\'t hear from them again after your furniture is picked up. They will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get the business. Then they won\'t answer the phone afterwards. I\'m sure they have caller ID and they probably get comission. All those positive reviews are fake. Maybe they are local and just going a few miles down the road for a same day move. I have been told over and over that my furniture hasn\'t even left Chicago because they have to wait on a truck going south. Ahhh. I can just scream for being taken in like this.

Poor Handling, Mar 02, 2009
reviewer: RS from Ill TX
Worst ever experience. Movers came in and took 5hrs, and at the end, they said its gonna weigh more than estimated and would cost 3200USD. And to my surprise the cat scale weigh tickets showed a weight that translated to the EXACT 3200USD that they "estimated" on the move day. I did some research and found that the two weighing tickets were 10mins apart. I called their office and had to talk to manager with this proof and they went for re-weighing and got it down to 1900USD. If I just believed, I wud have been at a loss of 1300USD. Wehn items came in, two of the items were missing and my entertainment center was broken and some kitchen items too. I feel they are cheaters.
