My husband and I contracted with Allied Van Lines for our recent move from Colorado to Washington. The day our driver showed up to load our things he informed us that he had limited space in his truck and all of our household items would not fit. Limited space is a gross understatement! He was only able to get about 60% of our items in his truck. The remainder of our things were loaded several hours later onto a smaller truck and taken to a warehouse where they sat for almost 3 weeks. Our contract with Allied stated our delivery would be between 3/5-3/9. Our second load didn't arrive until 3/22! Contact with the customer service department was a complete joke. They were blatantly RUDE. They did not return phone calls or provide updates. Allied broke their contract with us and basically told us "oh well." There was no reduction in our final price. The ONLY compensation they approved was $300 worth of items we had to purchase because they were in our boxes with the second load. |
